The Shimano SP40 Step Down Cable Ferrules are precision-engineered end caps designed to join cables and housings of differing diameters. Commonly used in bike shifting systems, these ferrules ensure smooth cable transitions, especially where step-down sizes are needed ? such as connecting a larger outer housing to a smaller frame stop or internal routing port. Built from durable metal and finished in silver, they help maintain optimal cable alignment and minimize friction for consistent shifting performance.
